BIRCOdicht consists of a concrete body clad in a protective sheath of PE-HD. All seams are welded in the works. On site the butt seams are reliably welded by an authorised specialist company. The mandatory inspection of the welded seams can be carried out quickly and reliably (the same cannot be said of conventional butt-jointed gullies) with a simple, low-cost radio-frequency test instrument. BIRCOdicht meets the requirements of Article 19 of the German Water Management Act, and can withstand loads up to Class F 900. A simple and reliable check against leaks with a radio-frequency instrument.

BIRCOdicht has the right component for practically all requirements, such as shafts, corners, intersections, and runs. Every gradient is feasible with BIRCOdicht. "Difficult" cases such as railway level crossings, or connections to surface and sealing foil, are no problem. All special parts are constructed and manufactured in the works specially for the project – including perfectly adapted PE-HD cladding. PP cladding is also available as an alternative.
