The BIRCO railtrack drainage system provides for the quick reception and drainage of surface water from tracks and rails.

Advantage all down the line

Rainwater and debris accumulate in tram track and crane track systems. This impairs the safety of rail traffic and the functioning of track systems. Where tracks are laid in surfaces such as paving blocks, asphalt, slabs or concrete, it is necessary to ensure adequate drainage of surface water. In public transport as well as in industrial systems the BIRCO SIR rail track drainage system provides for the reliable and quick drainage of surface water, irrespective of the gauge. Water and dirt particles are drained off into the underlying channel through apertures in the rail profiles. Fellow road users are no longer subject to splashes.

The system

Together with dirt particles, the water accumulated in the tracks is drained off through apertures in the rail profiles. Underneath, at right angles to the tracks and with a nominal width relative to the gauge, a channel is installed which receives the water through inlets at either end. An integrated socket at the bottom of the channel allows for the straightforward connection of DN 100 drain pipes. The three-piece system ensures easy and quick installation on the site.
